April sales and price report

C.A.R. reports April home sales increased 49.2 percent, median home price declined 36.5 percent. Governor Announces Filing Deadline Extended For Homestead Rebate And Senior Freeze Program Applications

TRENTON, NJ – May 29, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Jon S. Corzine today announced that the deadline for New Jersey’s senior and disabled homeowners to file 2008 Homestead Rebate applications has been extended to August 17, 2009. The deadline for filing a 2008 Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement) application has also been extended to August 17. The original deadline for filing 2008 applications for both programs was June 1, 2009.

$40 Million in Federal Tax Credit Assistance for Low Income Housing Development Announced

(Enterprise) received $95 million in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) authority from the U.S. Treasury Department’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. Enterprise is one of 32 Community Development Entities (CDEs) receiving an allocation of the $1.5 billion in NMTC awards as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This new allocation brings Enterprise’s total NMTC awards to $610 million, $515 million of which has previously been invested in low-income communities nationwide.

SDHDA Awards $8.5 Million in Housing Development and Rehabilitation Funding
