On January 12th, 2009, Chris Koster was sworn in as the 41st Attorney General of the state of Missouri. Koster campaigned on a platform of prosecuting fraudulent Medicaid providers; cracking down on violations of workers' rights; aggressively enforcing Missouri's environmental laws; and supporting law enforcement in fighting the spread of methamphetamines and preventing urban crime.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – November 17, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced today he has returned $370,000 in Unclaimed Property to a Top 50 Missouri employer. Jefferson City, MO – March 23, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Attorney General Chris Koster today announced that the operators of a foreclosure-relief business will no longer be allowed to do business in Missouri or other states, thanks to a court settlement with Missouri, California and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). US Foreclosure Relief Corp., George Escalante, Cesar Lopez and Adrian Pomery are permanently banned from selling mortgage loan modification or foreclosure relief services.
