BOISE, ID - February 11, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — The Home Partnership Foundation, brought to you by Idaho Housing and Finance Association, has awarded 13 emergency response grants in the amount of $69,600 to homeless shelters and service providers across the state. These funds are intended to support the greatest needs of housing service providers statewide including shelter operations and capital improvements, funding for motel vouchers (when shelters are full), as well as homelessness prevention efforts.

A statewide count of homeless Kentuckians of all ages living in shelters, on the streets, and other places not meant for human habitation is being coordinated by Kentucky Housing Corporation. The count will also include precariously housed Kentuckians, defined as people living in substandard housing conditions, doubled- or tripled-up with family and friends, or expecting eviction within seven days.
