Governor Culver: More Than $181.6 Million in Housing Awards Spur Nearly 1,600 Affordable Housing Units

DES MOINES, IA – September 1, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Chet Culver today announced awards of more than $181.6 million to build or rehabilitate 1,597 units of affordable housing. The awards were granted from the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHTC) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
