Jefferson City, MO - March 8, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — Attorney General Chris Koster said today the nation’s financial crisis has led to rampant growth of foreclosure-rescue scams. Since he took office in January 2009, the Attorney General’s Office has had 321 complaints of foreclosure fraud, compared with just 25 complaints in 2007 and 2008 combined, a more than one-thousand percent increase.

Property Sales Bring In Extra Funds for Road Projects

JEFFERSON CITY, MO - March 8, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — A state highway property sales blitz has generated more than $675,000 for road and bridge projects that will make Missouri highways smoother and safer.
The Missouri Department of Transportation tried something new last November - an all-out attempt to sell multiple properties across the state in a short period of time. The agency identified 21 highly marketable properties, then advertised them for sale by auction or sealed bid over a five-day period. The realty blitz brought in $676,739 and transferred land the state no longer needed to build, improve and maintain the highway system to interested property buyers

ST. CHARLES, MO - February 5, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) was in St. Charles today to announce a $575,000 small business loan impacting 23 local jobs. Treasurer Zweifel made the announcement at Sams Carpet Cleaning and Repair. The low-interest loan, made through the Missouri Linked Deposit Program, will save the company an estimated $37,000 in interest costs. Qualifying borrowers generally save 30 percent on the cost of the loan.
