Mississippi Home Corporation to Host Financial Health Workshop

Hattiesburg, MS - February 12, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — The Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) will host a Financial Health Workshop on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center, 220 West Front Street in Hattiesburg. MHC will host the free workshop from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The workshop will be particularly helpful for individuals who are worried about losing their home, are having trouble making ends meet, who believe they have a mortgage that is unfair, or simply want to learn how to manage their finance better. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet trained counselors who can review their finances, find other programs that can over assistance, and learn how to avoid financial pitfalls in the future.

The Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection is proposing a new rule, titled “Adjustment of Non-Bank Mortgage Lender Fees to Fund Investigative and Legal Compliance Personnel.” A copy of that proposed rule is attached. Treasurer Clint Zweifel Launches Revamped Loan Program at St. Louis Life Science Company

October 7, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — State Treasurer Clint Zweifel will be in St. Louis on Thursday, October 8 to launch the revamped Missouri Linked Deposit Program, a low-interest loan program he administers. Treasurer Zweifel will be at LipoSpectrum, a local life science company specializing in state-of-the-art lipid analysis using patented technology developed at Washington University. LipoSpectrum, located in the St. Louis Enterprise Center’s Midtown location uses the Missouri Linked Deposit Program. Borrowers using the loan program usually save about 30 percent on their interest costs.
