Governor Schwarzenegger Announces First-in-the-Nation Statewide Green Building Standards Code

January 13, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Continuing California’s efforts to fight climate change and protect the environment, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the California Building Standards Commission unanimously adopted the first-in-the-nation mandatory Green Building Standards Code (CALGREEN) requiring all new buildings in the state to be more energy efficient and environmentally responsible.
