Georgia House Passes Legislation to Help Chatham County Areas Continue to Receive City Services

ATLANTA, GA – April 2, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The Georgia House of Representatives passed House Resolution 136 on Friday, March 26, 2010, by a vote of 160-1. Sponsored by state Representative Bob Bryant (D-Garden City), HR 136 amends the Georgia Constitution to allow owners of real property located in the industrial area of Chatham County to remove the property from being included in the industrial area. The property could then be annexed by Garden City, so that city services could continue to be provided.
