AARP Foundation Seeks to Improve Access to Safe and Affordable Housing for the Struggling 50+ Population

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 26, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — AARP Foundation today announced their first housing grant program by issuing a formal request for proposal (RFP), targeted at identifying organizations that create better access to housing for the struggling 50+ population, by ensuring they are able to maintain their current homes as safe places to live and age. AARP Foundation is encouraging organizations to create new models of home modification that benefit households of older Americans who are affected by unaffordable and/or inadequate housing
