Delaney in Financial Services Hearing: We Need Complete Economic Picture When Evaluating GSEs

WASHINGTON, DC – June 13, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Wednesday the House Committee on Financial Services held a full committee hearing titled, “Beyond the GSEs: Examples of Successful Housing Finance Models without Explicit Government Guarantees.” During the hearing, Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) stressed that when evaluating the GSEs our analysis should include a full assessment of both the economic costs and benefits associated with our current housing model
