Rep. Peters Challenges ‘Early Dismissal’; Demands Vote to Protect Pregnant Workers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 17, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Scott Peters (CA-52) continued his effort to convince Speaker John Boehner that the House of Representatives should not adjourn at the end of this week, as has been widely reported. Today, Rep. Peters called for the passage of H.R. 1975, the “Pregnant Workers Fairness Act,” which ensures that pregnant women are not forced out of their jobs or denied reasonable accommodations that would allow them to keep working and supporting their families
