MTA AND NYPA PARTNER TO COMPLETE $25 MILLION ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECT AT GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL

In celebration of Earth Week, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chairman Thomas F. Prendergast (left) and New York Power Authority President and CEO Gil C. Quiniones commemorate the completion of a $25 million energy efficiency project in Grand Central Terminal. The energy saving measures will save the landmark facility $2.5 million in annual energy costs and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions by more than 11,200 tons a year, the equivalent of removing roughly 2,140 cars from the road
