Today, the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Subcommittee passed the 2016 THUD Appropriations Bill, sending it to the full Appropriations Committee for consideration next week. Included in the bill was a narrowly-tailored exemption to allow the Kansas Legislature to modify its truck length laws for custom harvesting equipment, similar to one afforded to Nebraska in 2005.
