SECOND QUARTER STARTS WITH A ROBUST NUMBERS

Existing homes sales in Maryland surged more than 20 percent in April, compared to April 2014, according to the Maryland Association of REALTORS® (MAR). Pending units, homes under contract, also rose significantly, by almost 20 percent, indicating a continued strong market as summer approaches. Active inventory rose slightly, while months of inventory—the supply of homes available for sale, dropped again, to 4.8 months. Six months of inventory is considered ideal.
