U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), following their urging, had approved additional federal funds to rebuild the Niagara Engine Company No. 6 Fire House. The fire house was previously located in a high hazard floodplain in Schoharie County, where it was severely damaged during Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
