The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2042, the Ratepayer Protection Act of 2015 with Representative Westmoreland’s support. The Ratepayer Protection Act postpones the dates by which states and operators of existing fossil-fuel fired power plants must comply with any final rule under the Clean Power Plan proposed by the EPA that addresses emissions of carbon dioxide until after a judicial review
