A Howard County construction project to enhance a storm water pond on Whitworth Way in the vicinity of Ducks Foot Lane (construction entrance is closer to Dee Jay Drive) in Ellicott City is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, July 27. The project will include the replacement of the pond’s outlet structure, the planting of wetland vegetation and lowering of the ponds elevation to allow for a shallow wetland to become established. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late August 2015.
