Eight Cherokee families receive keys to new homes in Nowata

The dream of homeownership is now a reality for a pair of brothers and six other Cherokee families in Nowata. They received keys Monday to their new homes built through the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation’s New Home Construction Program.
