Governor Cuomo Announces $4.1 Million in Federal Community Development Grants Available Competitively to Westchester Communities

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 27, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that $4.1 million in Federal grants are available through New York State Homes and Community Renewal, to 42 cities, towns and villages in Westchester for housing, public infrastructure, public facilities and economic development activities. Prior to this year, these municipalities were part of the Westchester County Consortium that was prohibited from receiving funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) due to the County’s non-compliance with federal Fair Housing requirements.
