MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Eliminating Alpena Power Company’s Renewable Energy Monthly Surcharge

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Alpena Power Company to implement its renewable energy plan. Because the utility purchases its required renewable energy credits from Consumers Energy Company, which has reduced its renewable energy surcharge to zero, Alpena Power Company will also reduce its monthly surcharge to zero, effective July 1
