LUJAN AND DEMOCRATIC LEADERS CALL ON SPEAKER RYAN TO POSTPONE ADJOURNMENT UNTIL PASSAGE OF EMERGENCY SUPPLEMENTAL TO ADDRESS ZIKA, OPIOID, AND FLINT CRISES

Congressman Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico’s Third District joined with Democratic Leadership to send a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan to call for immediate action on an emergency supplemental appropriations bill that addresses three urgent public health crises: the Zika virus, opioid addiction, and the ongoing Flint water crisis. In the letter, the members urge Speaker Ryan to postpone adjournment of the House until Congress has acted on these critical issues.
