McCAIN, FLAKE & ARIZONA DELEGATION MEMBERS URGE HUD SECRETARY TO USE EXISTING RESOURCES TO ASSIST DISPLACED HOMELESS FAMILIES IN ARIZONA

U.S. Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and members of the Arizona congressional delegation sent a letter to U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro today expressing concern that several Arizona-based housing organizations did not receive funding under the Department’s Tier 2 Continuum of Care (CoC) allocation, which is used to provide homeless individuals and families with transitional and permanent housing. This decision will result in the imminent displacement of 67 families in Maricopa County if a short-term solution is not found
