RUMANA COMMENDS CHRISTIE DECISION TO VETO MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

Assembly Republican Whip Scott T. Rumana (R–Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex) applauded Gov. Chris Christie’s veto of a measure that would have raised the minimum wage. “Not only would a $15 an hour minimum wage have reversed our economic progress, it would have disproportionately driven up the cost of living and killed job opportunities for lower- and middle-class families. A higher minimum wage would have meant higher costs for food, gas, and home goods.
