STRONG SALES RESUME IN SEPTEMBER 2016

In a strong turnaround from the previous month, there was a 12.1 percent surge in home sales in August, according to the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, (MAR).  While there were declines in smaller rural markets, overall most counties had strong sales activity. Leading the pack was Frederick County with a 28.3 percent increase, followed by Charles County at 27.6 percent and Calvert County at 25 percent. Average price rose by 2.5 percent and median price climbed by 4.1 percent as compared to the same time period in 2015
