Boustany Announces RESTORE Act Funding to Reinforce Louisiana’s Coastline

Dr. Charles Boustany (R-Lafayette) issued the following statement after the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council announced that they will award a project grant totaling $7,259,216 to Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority under the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies (RESTORE) Act. The primary objective of the project is to address Gulf shoreline erosion and replenish storm surge protection by building an enhanced dune and back barrier marsh habitat in Jefferson Parish
