Boustany Announces FEMA Funding for Saint Mary Levee District

Dr. Charles Boustany (R-Lafayette) issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced $25,887,261 in grant funding for the state of Louisiana. Specifically, $3,522,954 will be awarded to the Saint Mary Levee District to provide emergency reinforcement and protection to levees and other infrastructure in the wake of the flooding event that began on December 28, 2015.
