HPD ANNOUNCES NEW AND ENHANCED RESOURCES TO HELP NEW YORKERS ACCESS THE HOUSING LOTTERY

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) Commissioner Maria Torres-Springer today announced enhanced resources for housing lottery applicants. HPD launched a new informative video series on the affordable housing lottery process. The first video in the series, “Applying to a New York City Affordable Housing Lottery: Video Guide” , gives an overview of the application process.

The New York City Housing Development Corporation (“HDC”) provides a variety of financing programs for the creation and preservation of multi-family affordable housing throughout the five boroughs of New York City.  HDC is implementing Mayor Bloomberg’s New Housing Marketplace Plan to build and preserve 165,000 units of affordable housing over ten years.
