NEW YORK HOUSING OFFICIALS JOIN THE ARKER COMPANIES AND PARTNERS TO CELEBRATE THE PRESERVATION OF 178 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN STATEN ISLAND

Officials from the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC), New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) joined The Arker Companies and project partners to celebrate the rehabilitation and preservation of Elbee Gardens, a 178-unit affordable housing development located at 1950 Clove Road in the Grasmere neighborhood of Staten Island.

The New York City Housing Development Corporation (“HDC”) provides a variety of financing programs for the creation and preservation of multi-family affordable housing throughout the five boroughs of New York City.  HDC is implementing Mayor Bloomberg’s New Housing Marketplace Plan to build and preserve 165,000 units of affordable housing over ten years.
