                    Phoenix, AZ - September 6, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Phoenix property owners will soon receive this year's property tax assessments in the mail and the average Phoenix homeowner will pay a lower tax bill to the city.  Phoenix's property tax rate is $1.82 per $100 of assessed value. This rate has not changed in 14 years.

Grijalva today congratulated  the Tonto Apache Tribe and the Ak-Chin Indian Community for receiving  housing awards of $54,019 and $384,994, respectively, from the  Department of Housing and Urban Development. The grants come through the  Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996,  which awards funds to tribes through a formula based on need and prior  funding levels.
