LOS ANGELES, CA - February 15, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- The percentage of households that could afford to buy an entry-level home in California remained at 64 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009, compared with 61 percent (revised) for the same period a year ago, according to a report released today by the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.).

Conforming loan limits extended through 2010

LOS ANGELES, CA - November 2, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) --The U.S. Congress late yesterday passed a congressional resolution extending through 2010 the current conforming loan limits of $417,000 for most areas in the U.S. and $729,750 for high-cost areas, including many in California. President Obama is expected to sign the resolution today or tomorrow as part of a broader piece of budgetary legislation that will prevent a government shutdown.

CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® releases annual “Use of Technology Survey”

SAN JOSE - October 7, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- Forty-six percent of California REALTORS® surveyed report they use some type of social networking Web site to stay on top of trends in their business, according to the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®’ (C.A.R.) annual “Use of Technology Survey,” released today at Tech Tuesday. The most popular social networking site among REALTORS® surveyed was LinkedIn (34 percent), followed by YouTube (13 percent) and MySpace (12 percent).
