Orlando's homebuying season kicks off with a decline in inventory and an increase in median price. The traditional start to Orlando’s homebuying season — April 1 — finds buyers continuing to grapple with a dwindling inventory that in March pushed home prices up 10 percent and restrained sales by 4 percent.

February Market Report
Memphis-area home sales for February increased 7.8 percent from a year ago, with 1,040 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 8.8 percent from January, when there were 956 total sales. Average sales price from February-to-February was down 8.5 percent, at $139,335. Inventory increased 1.8 percent, with 5,474 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume decreased by 6.5 percent from February 2015, at $279.5 million.

Iowa Home Prices Continue to Rise; Sales Hold Steady in January
The Iowa Association of REALTORS® (IAR) reported that January home prices are up, homes are selling faster and number of sales dipped slightly when compared to January of last year. According to the IAR’s Housing Trends Report, the median sale price increased by 12 percent. The median sale price rose from $121,000 in January of 2015 to $135,500 in January of 2016.
