Non-Distressed Miami Homes Register Double-Digit Sales Growth in June
Non-distressed Miami single-family home sales increased 11.3 percent in June as median home prices rose for the 55th consecutive month, according to new report from the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) and the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system.
Illinois home sales, prices climb higher in June and first half of 2016
Homebuyer demand drove sales and prices higher in June and marked a strong first half of the year for the Illinois housing market, according to Illinois REALTORS®. Statewide home sales (including single-family homes and condominiums) in June 2016 totaled 18,593 homes sold, up 1.4 percent from 18,328 in June 2015. Year-to-date, home sales totaled 78,547 homes sold, an increase of 5.5 percent compared to the first six months of 2015.

Florida’s housing market reported higher median prices and fewer days to a contract in June, according to the latest housing data released by Florida Realtors®. June Market Report
Memphis-area home sales for June increased 5.9 percent from a year ago, with 1,781 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 15.7 percent from May, when there were 1,539 total sales. Average sales price from June-to-June was up 5.2 percent, at $182,206. Inventory increased 1.9 percent, with 5,639 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume increased by 9.8 percent, at $1.34 billion.

Realtors® Say Mandatory Energy Labeling Would Hurt Homeowners
The 22,000-member Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) formally oppose several sections of Senate Bill S.2400, An Act to promote energy diversity, that is currently before the House-Senate Conference Committee. While MAR continues to support energy efficiency programs, Realtors say that several provisions of the bill would be harmful to the Massachusetts housing market and would disproportionately hurt low- and moderate-income homeowners. The Conference Committee must report its reconciled bill to both houses for up and down votes by July 31st.
