Virginia Home Sales Surge in November
According to the November 2016 Home Sales Report released by the Virginia Association of REALTORS® (VAR), residential real estate sales surged for the month, contributing considerably to an already strong year-end. Year-to-date measures markedly outpaced prior years. Through the end of November 2016, volume (the sum of all transactions) exceeded $34.816 billion, a gain of 7.9 percent from last year’s total of $32.271 billion, and more than 20 percent higher than through the end of November 2014 ($28.688 billion)
Iowa Home Sales up 7.5 percent and Prices up 7.0 percent in September
Home sales rose 7.5 percent in 2016 and home prices were up 7.0 percent when compared to September 2015. The number of homes sold in September rose 7.5 percent from last year. 3,853 homes were sold in September of this year, while 3,583 were sold during September 2015.
This year’s numbers in real estate continue to show a strong and solid market in Iowa. The number of properties sold from January through September were 4.3 percent higher than the same period last year.

Luxury home sales among key drivers for Texas housing market in 2016
Luxury home sales in Texas were strong in the first eight months of 2016, according to the latest Texas Luxury Home Sales Report released today by the Texas Association of REALTORS®. The report examines housing market trends and statistics for homes priced $1 million or higher in the Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Midland metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs).
Massachusetts Pending Home Sales Higher in September
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) reported today that the number of homes put under agreement in September were up close to 18 percent from last year. Condominium pending sales were also up over 22 percent as prices for both property types continue to go up. 2016 Second Quarter Home Sales Report
The Virginia residential real estate market continued year-over-year and long term improvement according to the Second Quarter 2016 Home Sales Report released by the Virginia Association of REALTORS® (VAR). Both the total number of sales and the value of transactions rose from the same period last year, to 34,688 units and $11.720 billion, respectively.
