Congressman Salazar announces $139,962 in federal funding to help homeless veterans in Grand Junction

WASHINGTON, DC – June 14, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Congressman John Salazar announced that $139,962 in federal funding has been appropriated to help homeless veterans in the Grand Junction area find housing. The funding was made available through the 2010 Omnibus Appropriations Act. Congressman Salazar serves on the House Appropriations Committee which oversees the distribution of federal appropriation funding. The $139,962 is going to the Grand Junction Housing Authority which has partnered with the Grand Junction VA Medical Center to provide rental assistance vouchers under a supportive housing program for homeless veterans
