Congressman Salazar announces $2,721,000 in federal funding to help community members find affordable housing in the Pueblo area

WASHINGTON, DC – June 14, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Congressman John Salazar announced $2,721,000 in federal funding to help moderate to very low income residents in the Pueblo area find housing. The funding comes in the form of two federal grants; one Community Development Block Grant for $1,799,904 and a HOME grant for $921,097. In 2009 Congressman Salazar was appointed to serve on the House Appropriations Committee which oversees the distribution of federal appropriation funding. The $2,721,000 is going to the Pueblo Department of Housing and Citizen Services
