Bakersfield Leaders Urge California Lawmakers to Pass SB 100 for 100% Clean Energy
Union members, faith leaders, city officials, farmers, and environmental groups gathered in Bakersfield to urge passage of Senate Bill 100 (De León). SB 100 will ensure that California generates 100% of its electricity from clean energy sources by 2045.
SCHUMER, GILLIBRAND ANNOUNCE OVER $99,000 IN FEDERAL FUNDING FOR VILLAGE OF WATERLOO
U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $99,500 in federal funding for the Village of Waterloo in Seneca County. The funding was allocated through the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Business Development Grant program. Specifically, the Village of Waterloo will use the funding to replace the pressure relief valve at the PRV station on River Road. The Village of Waterloo will also work closely with the Towns of Geneva, Junius, Phelps, and Tyre

Nearly $400,000 in Grants Awarded to Community Water Systems
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance protection of public water supplies, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is giving grant funding to more than 40 communities across the state.
