Central Ohio Housing Report – June 2017

Home prices are setting records in central Ohio. The median sales price of a home for the month of June in central Ohio was $192,650 which is up 7.0 percent from last year. The median sales price of a home for the first half of the year is $179,900, which is 6.4 percent higher than the first six months of 2016 according to the Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service.

New York State May home sales reach record level

Homebuyer demand remained strong in the Empire State during May as closed sales set a record for the month at 10,704, surpassing the record set last May by 4.6 percent, according to the housing market report released today by the New York State Association of REALTORS®. The statewide median sales price continued its upward climb, increasing by 7.1 percent compared to last May.

Sales and median price increase as interest rate dips during Orlando’s peak homebuying season

Orlando home sales increased 14 percent in May compared to May of 2016 while the median price jumped 7.4 percent, reports the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association. Florida’s housing market reported more closed sales, higher median prices and more pending sales during the first quarter of 2017, according to the latest housing data released by Florida Realtors®. Orlando median home price continues upward climb as sales and inventory dip

Orlando home sales declined 4 percent in April compared to April of 2016, in large part the result of sustained declines in the number of homes available for purchase. Orlando’s skimpy inventory also continued to push prices upwards, with the area’s year-over-year median home price again hitting a double-digit increase.
